How To Measure Women's Shoe Size

Embarking on a quest for the perfect pair of women's shoes can be an exciting yet challenging journey. Nothing beats the comfort of a well-fitted shoe, and achieving that perfect fit starts with accurate measurements. Finding the right shoe size is a crucial step toward achieving comfort and style in your footwear.

Measuring Your Shoe Size

To measure the best shoe size for your feet, measure the length between the end of your heel and the tip of your longest toe and refer the our size guide to determine your shoe size.

What If I'm In Between Sizes?

Can't decide if you should get a pair of women's shoe in size 37 or size 38, because your shoe measurement seems to be in between two sizes? If shoe size confusion happens to you all the time, we suggest using your index finger to gauge the perfect shoe size for you! Put on the shoe and place your index finger at the back of the shoe.

If you are able to place your index finger in almost completely for the larger size (example in this case, size 38), opt for one size down to size 37, as this would mean that the size up is too large for you and your shoe will most likely keep falling out as you walk. For covered shoes such as sneakers and pumps, if the length of the shoe fits right, but the front of the shoe feels just a little tight, you may consider DMK complimentary expanding service to eliminate your tight shoe woes.

On the other hand, if you are struggling to make room for your index finger for the larger size (size 38), while the shoe size down (size 37) feels a bit too snug, then it would be recommended for you to stick with size 38 instead of sizing down. As your feet swells after extended walking, the smaller shoe size that feels snug right now, would most likely feel too tight for you later. Hence, the size up with less than a finger space at the back would be just right after walking!

If you're worried about your shoes falling out when you walk with the size up, you may opt for DMK Cloud Booster, our soft inner shoe padding that help boost your feet up half a size. The soft base also ensures that every step you take is perfectly cushioned for your shoes to feel more comfortable. You can also eliminate backbite blues and get some extra back grip with DMK Back Up Plan

For open-toe sandals, DMK Get A Grip offers an extra front grip and prevents your toes from sliding out.

When Is The Best Time Of The Day To Buy Shoes?

We get asked this so often - Should we buy shoes in the morning, in the afternoon or in the evening? The answer? It depends on which part of the day do you walk the most. Your feet swells after prolonged walking, and buying a pair of shoes after your feet have been in walking condition for a while will ensure that your new shoe will fit you even after extended periods of activity. Therefore, purchasing shoes in the afternoon or evening, when your feet are at their largest size, allows for a more accurate fit. Buying shoes during this time ensures that there is enough room for your feet to expand comfortably during periods of extended use.
